St. Louis, MO—Friendly Academy is overjoyed to announce that, pending charter approval, we have been awarded a transformative $2 million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Charter School Program (CSP-SE). This grant, administered for the state of Missouri by the Opportunity Trust, is a significant milestone in our journey and a testament to our commitment to the future of our students and community.

With the CSP-SE grant funds, we are doubling down on this commitment to academic excellence by investing in key areas that will undoubtedly lead to stronger academic outcomes for our students.

The grant will enable us to:

  • Expand our faculty and build capacity by engaging in world-class training ensuring that our educators are equipped with evidence-based practices.

  • Enhance our curriculum by investing in high-quality instructional materials and resources that align with state standards and promote deeper learning.

  • Implement comprehensive student support services, including a student wellness room to address the diverse needs of our student population.

  • Equip our students with essential learning materials and supplies reducing costs for families.

Overall, receiving the CSP-SE  grant will significantly enhance our ability to provide a high-quality education that prepares our students to excel academically. Friendly Academy is grateful for the opportunity to receive this grant and looks forward to working closely with stakeholders to ensure its effective implementation. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of our students and build a brighter future for North St. Louis City.
